VisSim will provide its Marine Radar Vessel Traffic Management System and Oil Spill Detection solutions to the Ivar Aasen oil field.
Located in the North Sea, west of the Johan Sverdrup field, the oil field Ivar Aasen will be operated by Det norske oljeselskap ASA.

The company said: “Our surveillance solution is part of the integrated Electrification, instrumentation/control and telecommunication system supplied by Siemens.”

The two solutions will be integrated with the Statoil surveillance system, which is monitored and controlled by the Sandsli Control Center in Bergen, Norway.
