Transfield gets more asset management work on massive North West Shelf

Transfield Services has signed a master services agreement with Australian operator Woodside to service offshore facilities at the massive North West Shelf Project.

The new contract is for two years, with two one-year extension options.

The A$29.5 billion North West Shelf Project is Australia’s largest oil and gas development and accounts for more than a third of the country’s hydrocarbon production, according to Woodside, part-owner and operator of the scheme.

Transfield’s contract includes electrical and instrumentation, mechanical, inspection, cladding and insulation, blasting and painting, scaffolding, rope access and web decking and more, the company said. It has worked on the North West Shelf Project for more than 20 years.

“This new contract expands our presence in one of Australia’s gas hubs and reflects our proven capability in large-scale asset management in the sector,” said Graeme Hunt, Transfield Services managing director and CEO.
